· · July 20 Fort Collins Stake Summer Celebration: “Stronger Together” Sat, July 20, 4:00-7:00 PM at the Lynnwood Building, 1400 Lynnwood Dr. Please join us for our annual Stake Summer Celebration! There will be lots of games and activities, food and fun for all ages. Your friends and neighbors are also welcome! Please include them on the sign-up sheets! We want to have enough hamburgers, hot dogs and side dishes to feed everyone!
· Important Notes About This Event: WE CURRENTLY HAVE A SHORTFALL OF POTLUCK ITEMS, ESPECIALLY MACARONI SALAD, POTATO SALAD, AND DESSERTS. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND, BE SURE TO SIGN UP FOR A POTLUCK DISH TO FEED 8-10 PEOPLE. Sign-up sheets are available in your Auxiliaries and Quorums. Please bring your potluck dishes by at least 4:30 PM. Dinner will be served from 4:45-6:15 PM. We respectfully request that you leave your pets at home unless you require a Service Dog.
· July 20 Pioneer Day Concert – “Music for a Summer Evening,” by the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, with special guest singer Sissel. The concert will be broadcast on the church satellite system, the internet, and other media Saturday, July 20 at 8 pm.
· July 21 Stake General Priesthood Meeting – 7pm at the Stake Center. All priesthood brethren are encouraged to attend.
· July 26 Friday Night Dance Classes with Alta Vista branch - The Alta Vista branch invites families to join us for Friday Night Dance Classes at the Lynnwood building each 4th Friday of the month between 7pm and 9pm. We’ll have instruction the first hour and open dance the second.
· July 28 Special Multi-Stake Fireside - Beloved speaker and author Robert L. Millet will speak at a fireside on Sunday, July 28 at 7:00pm at the Trilby building (next door to the Fort Collins Temple). His topic is “The Holy Spirit: His Identity, Mission, and Ministry”; Brother Millet is a former dean of Religious Education at Brigham Young University, and is a professor emeritus of ancient scripture. He has written more than 30 gospel-centered books for Deseret Book. Loveland, Fort Collins, and Windsor stake members and their friends are invited to attend.
· Summer Organ Workshop for youth ages 12-18. Will be held weekly on Mondays 11am-noon in the Lynnwood Chapel. Interested youth should be able to play hymns on the piano. Questions: contact Gay Slade at gayslade@gmail.com.
· Addiction Recovery Program - Individuals overcome addiction through Jesus Christ and His Atonement. Please join us for meetings every Thursday at 7:00 pm for General Addiction (High Council room) and Men’s Pornography (across the hall). Come in the Stake Center East Doors. · Women’s Support Group - We provide a Gospel-centered support group for women and family members coping with the addictions of others. We meet every Thursday at 6:30 pm; babysitting is provided. Contact Michelle Parry at 970-301-5345 for more information.
